On-the-go fun has never been easier. Laura Kelly and her fellow crafters are making a really awesome travel game and they want to show you how to make it too! Watch and work along with the gang as they make the coolest travel game board.

two colors of felt or fleece, any color
scissors
tape measure
buttons
string
needle
glue

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE A SEWING NEEDLE, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Pick the color felt that we would like our game board to be. Once you’ve chosen the color, cut out 2 10”x10” squares of the felt.
  2. Now that we have our squares cut out, it’s time to glue them or sew them together. Glue around three edges or if sewing, sew together using blanket stitch (show blanket stitch).
  3. Once everything is glued or sewn together…Cut out 4 strips of a different color felt, each approximately ¼” wide and 7” long and Glue onto top of board. It should look like a tic-tac-toe board.
  4. Now that our board is done, you need to make it travel worthy. And that means that you need to make a closure for the board. Here's what you need to do to make the closure so you can travel with game. Sew the button onto back of board in the middle of the side you did not glue or sew.
  5. Now you need to add a string that will be used to tie the board together. Thread the needle and knot it. Bring the needle to the inside of the board, on the side that is not glued or sewn, take the needle and come up through the top of the board (so that the knot is on the inside and the string hangs off the front of the board). You should put the remaining 6 buttons inside the board and tie it up.
