Are you ready to glide across the open skies? Work along with the master of paper airplane construction, Michael LaFosse, as he shows us how to fold a plane that flies great…no matter how you get it in the air!
square paper, 6-10 inches long, white side up
SOME PAPER AIRPLANES HAVE POINTY TIPS …SO BE REALLY CAREFUL WHEN YOU THROW THEM INDOORS AND OUT. IT’S ALWAYS BETTER TO HAVE A BUDDY…SO TRY NOT TO ATTEMPT THESE PROJECTS ALONE.
- Start with a square piece of paper, 6-10 inches long, white side up.
- Fold in half edge to edge and open.
- Fold bottom edge to middle crease.
- Turn paper around and repeat bottom to middle.
- Lift the top right corner and roll it over and away so the right side is higher then the left and so that the crease hits the middle on the left.
- Do the same with the bottom layer.
- Turn so that the wide part is on top.
- To make the nose fold both corners in so that edge of the triangle forming aligns with center crease.
- Grab that edge and stand it up, flip and flatten.
- Hold paper so that it folds out at the point and creates a flat edge.
- Right bottom edge up over to edge of rectangle repeat with left side.
- Flip over so long flat edge is on bottom.
- Grab lower wing and flip over folded edge.
- Repeat.
- Stand them up like ears.
