Doodle tricks are downright fun! Learn how to turn the letter L into a lovely bird!

Pad of paper
Pencil
Marker
Colored chalks or colored pencils
Eraser

SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION...LIKE SCISSORS...SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO CARTOONING!

  1. Write the letter “L” in script. Put an eye in the top loop.
  2. Cut in half, draw in eyelashes, and darken in eye.
  3. Draw a long, curved line to create a beak, and make a smile inside. Draw a dash above where smile ends.
  4. Draw a curved line for the body and ovals for feet, using the bottom line of the “L” as a perch. Draw long, twirly hair on top of his head.
  5. Use purple for body, yellow for his beak and feet, and light blue for hair and feathers.
