Follow along with Scott Sicari and learn how to make a business card holder…for that busy parent that’s always on the go! All you'll need are some popsicle sticks and glue to get started!

11 popsicle sticks
scissors
silver paint
red ribbon
school glue
decorations
wax paper

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE A SEWING NEEDLE, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Lay down a piece of wax paper to protect your work surface. Paint each popsicle stick with your silver paint and let them dry for 30 minutes.
  2. Lay three sticks out flat next to each other side to side and glue them together. This will be the front side of the cardholder. Set the sticks aside so the glue can dry.
  3. For the base of the business card holder, lay 2 popsicle sticks flat next to each other and then glue them together in the same way that you glued the other ones. Set them aside to dry.
  4. For the back of the business card holder, lay 4 popsicle sticks flat next to each other, glue them together, and let them dry.
  5. For the sides of the card holder, cut 1 and 1/4 inch off of the top and bottom of 2 popsicle sticks. Take the pieces of the side that you’ve just cut and lay the 2 long edges side by side, and glue them together. Repeat the steps you just did to make a wall for opposite side of the card holder. Let both sides dry for an hour.
  6. Take your front piece and base piece and glue them together at a right angle. When the front of the holder is glued into place, take the back of your holder and glue the back to the base also at a right angle. Now you should have a U-shaped figure.
  7. Glue the right and left sides to the base, front, and back of the holder. Now the actual cardholder is finished. Let the glue dry for an hour before you move on to the last step.
  8. Add some decorations! You can use a red ribbon, some buttons, and a foam star, or whatever else you find around your house! Let the piece dry before you wrap it up and present it to your very lucky mom or dad!
