Need extra storage for photos and more? Well then this is the perfect project for you. Glue, corks and a yardstick will get you started.

45 to 50 corks
glue
yard stick
paint
paintbrushes
2 plastic plates
500 wooden skewers
3 screws or nails
push pins
buttons
jewels
beads
googly eyes
coffee can
cup of water
family photos and favorite pictures

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Glue the corks onto the yardstick side-by-side, leaving the first, middle and last corks unglued. You will glue those on later, after you attach your finished cork bars to the wall. Those corks will cover up the unsightly screws so that you have a nice, clean looking bar. Let your cork bar dry for about an hour.
  2. Paint the corks with fun colors and cool patterns. Choose whatever colors you like. When you finish, let the paint dry for at least an hour before you attach it to the wall.
  3. While you wait, you can make some really fun push pins that you can use to pin up your favorite keepsakes.Use beads, buttons, jewels, googly eyes, or anything else you like to decorate the tops of your push pins. Just use a small dot of glue for each pin, and place your decoration on top of the glue. Let then dry for about an hour.
  4. Ask your adult helper to attach to your cork bar to the wall for you. Attach the bar with screws or nails in the spaces you left empty in the first, middle , and last positions. Then, glue on your first, middle, and last corks to hide the screws or nails.
  5. Finally, using your push pins, add some of your family photos and favorite pictures to your cork bar.
