Drawer Pulls

A great way to add some color and fun to your room is to trade in your boring old knobs for some custom creations!

spackle
spackle knife
shells
jewels
plastic frog
sand
acrylic paint
small paint brush
plastic plate
cup of water
newspaper

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

1. Start by laying down some newspaper on your work surface. This will protect your table.
2. Come up with a theme for your pulls, like “the beach” with shells on a sandy background or plastic insects playing in the grass!
3. Use a tube of spackle that we’re going to use to attach our decorations to our drawer pulls. if you don’t have spackle at home, you can always just glue your your decorations on. Spread some spackle onto two of your drawer pulls.
4. To add the decorations. gently press items into the spackle according to your design motif. When you’re finished decorating, allow the spackle to dry for a few hours. This will set the items in permanently.
5. Let spackle dry for about two hours. Then, paint it with coordinating colors being careful not to get paint on the items you’ve inserted in the plaster.
6. When you finish painting, let the drawer pulls dry for about an hour.
7. For the final step, attach the drawer pulls to your dresser drawers.
