3 different colors of embroidery thread
tape
scissors
ruler

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Cut all colors to 5 feet, tie a knot at the end, and tape the knot to the table.
  2. Take the color farthest to the right (for this demo it is blue) and create a backwards “4” over the other two colors.
  3. Slip the end of the blue thread through the hole of the “4”.
  4. Pull the thread tight.
  5. Keep pulling all the way to the top knot.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 fourteen times for a total of fifteen blue knots.
  7. Switch to the next color (for this demo yellow) and repeat steps 2-5 fifteen times. Now switch to green. Repeat steps 2-6 eleven times or until desired length!
