chalkboard paint
paintbrush
12x12 wooden board
buttons
glue
wall hooks

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Lay down craft paper or newspaper.
  2. Paint your board with black chalkboard paint. Just give it a couple of coats and let it dry for about 6 hours.
  3. Ask an adult to help you attach some wall hooks to the top of your board.
  4. Once your hooks are in, you can start decorating! A good idea would be to make a border around the edges of the board with buttons, but you can use whatever you like…just create a theme and decorate accordingly.
