Rice crispy treats are delicious but they’re even better on a stick. Cook along with Chef Ralph Pallarino as he shows you a new twist on this old time favorite.

INGREDIENTS:
5 cups crispy rice cereal
1/4 cup butter
4 cups mini marshmallows

TOOLS:
saucepan
mixing spoon
popsicle sticks
plastic wrap

REMEMBER THAT IT’S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS COOK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE OBJECTS THAT COULD BE HARMFUL, LIKE A KNIFE, SO DON’T EVER ATTEMPT TO DO THESE RECIPES ALONE.

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add the marshmallows, stirring constantly until melted.
  3. Remove the mixture from the heat, and add the crispy rice to the pan and stir until coated. Make sure you use a potholder and that you place your pot on something heat-safe.
  4. When you’re done shaping each rice crispy treat, let them cool down and harden. You can wrap them in plastic wrap if you don’t want to eat them immediately.
