You won’t need any paint for this art project...just some glue, a little bit of sand, and a piece of paper…so get ready to create a Sand Picture with Lisa Bleyaert!

construction paper
black marker
plate
colored sand
glitter
glue
white paint

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Draw a picture of an octopus on a piece of construction paper.
  2. Give him a face and a few spots on his head.
  3. Cover his main body (not his eyes or spots) with school glue.
  4. Pour blue sand over the glue.
  5. Tap off excess sand.
  6. Apply glue to his spots.
  7. Cover spots with green glitter.
  8. Tap off excess glitter.
  9. Glue on googly eyes.
