REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE PROJECTS ALONE.
- Lay material flat, draw lines to cut sail, and do art decoration.
- Cut 3 wood dowels – 1/8” X 17”. Place dowels on sail at diagonal corners and tape. Place tape over dowel and onto opposite side of sail.
- Cut 30” piece of string for bridle and attach each end to two adjacent corners. Cut 36” piece of string for other bridle leg and larks head to top bridle and attach other end to center of sticks.
- Cut 8” piece of string for adjustable bridle loop – larks head on to lower bridle leg. Make tails with plastic strips, ribbon or macramé cord. Attach with tape.
- Cut 25’ or more of string and wind onto hobby stick. Attach to adjustable bridle loop. Adjust bridle – hand kite by fly line and make sure bottom of kite hangs slightly lower than top. Re-adjust to wind speed.
