The Chopper may not be a traditional paper airplane, but it flies high into the sky just like a helicopter. All you need are a piece of paper and some scissors!

one 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Fold your paper down the middle, and the fold again.
  2. Unfold and cut along the first fold. Take the small piece and divide it in thirds and fold.
  3. Take the bottom and fold it up, leaving about 1 1/2 inch on top. Open and do the same on the other side.
  4. Take your scissors and cut diagonally through the middle square on each side.
  5. Cut from the center guideline bottom to bottom of square. Fold either side in.
  6. Pull the right side down and left side towards the back.
