Sandcastles come in all shapes and sizes…that's why they're so much fun to build! So grab some water, a butter knife and of course some sand and learn how to create your very own Fish.

two 5 gallon buckets (one bottomless)
shovel
spatula
knife
spoon
water
sand

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Pour sand into your bottomless bucket. Fill it to the top with sand while slowly adding water, and pack it down. Use a spatula to tap around the edges of the bucket before sliding the bucket off.
  2. Draw a basic fish shape on the side and cut out the top area. Angle out the bottom part underneath the fish.
  3. Draw a 'V' shape at the end for a tail. Carve out a fin on the top of the fish's body. Try to make it round.
  4. Make a tail, a circle for an eyeball and draw a jaw. Carve a little triangle at the jawline for a fin. Use your spoon to create scales.
