To create an elaborate sandcastle you'll need to know how to sculpt the main turret…and ATV is here to show you how. You'll need the basic sandcastle formation to get started!

spatula
knife
spoon
water
sand

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Use a spatula to draw a line showing where stairs and a door would go. Start from the top of the castle and cut downwards to create edge.
  2. Cut out where the stairs will be using your spatula. Make the line flat where the door will be.
  3. Cut little perapits along top edges and carve blocks. Draw an edge around it. Use a spoon to create little divots below the line.
  4. Shave the sides of the castle a bit. Use your spoon to make windows above the staircase and door. Carve out rocks on the sides and clean out staircase.
  5. Cut little V's out for stairs using your knife. To work on the smaller building, draw an 'X' across its top and carve out sides of an angled roof.
  6. Add windows on each side and shingles to the roof.
