Want to spice up your room with a cool curtain?! Well you can hang this colorful beaded curtain on a window…in your doorway…or even around your bed!

heavy duty thread
needle
lots of colorful drinking straws
container of beads
push pins
scissors

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

Cut your straws into a few different lengths. 1 3/4” and 3” are good lengths to use.
Cut pieces of thread to the length you want your strands of curtain to be. Make sure you leave a little extra room for tying knots at both ends.
Thread your needle with a piece of the thread that you just cut. Take the needle and thread it through a bead and then tie a knot at one end of thread.
Thread a piece of straw, then a bead, then another straw, and so on. Continue until you reach the end.
When you get to the end of your thread, cut the needle off, tie the thread around a push pin and knot it. You are going to need to make about 15 of these strands.
Get an adult to help you hang your curtain across the top of your door using push pins.
