Native American Girl Cartoon

1. Start by creating guidelines: Use your pencil to loosely draw a circle for her head and sticks for her arms. Draw a rectangular shape for her boy and ovals for hands. Draw crossed lines over her face to show where to put features.
2. Draw her eyes in upside down V’s. Draw a nose and a big smile with full cheeks.
3. Draw her hair pulled back in pigtails.
4. Go over her face in marker. Add ears. Draw lines to suggest the way the hair is going.
5. Draw a neckline and draw over guidelines to make her outfit.
6. Go over arms. Draw her hand, with a thumb overlapping an ear of corn (the oval). Add detail to the corn by drawing the husk and crisscross lines to show the kernels. Draw another ear of corn in her other hand.
7. Draw tightly woven pigtails coming down behind her arms, and a thick black line for a headband.
8. Erase all pencil lines.
9. Color her face and arms brown. Color her outfit orange with red jagged lines going a across. Use black for her hair, green for the husks and yellow for the corn.
10. Cartoon effects: draw a few red lines coming out of the corn and around her head to show she’s proud.
