Hobo Bag

You won't have to jump into a time machine to get this psychedelic bag! Watch as Laura and her friends create a cool and colorful hobo bag from scratch! They're great to use for school, sleep overs or just hanging out with friends!

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE A SEWING NEEDLE, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

1. Take two pieces of fleece each 20” x 20”. They can be the same or coordinating. We will stack the two pieces of felt on top of one another.
2. Draw a 12” x 12” “U” in center of pillow. Pin the four corners of the 12” x 12” “U”. Cut out the four corners of the larger square.
3. We will fringe 3 sides of the bag (the sides you drew a “U”). Start on one side and cut strips about ½” wide all the way up to the black line.
4. When you have cut all 3 sides, you can now start to tie the fringe. With each strip you cut, there is a top piece and a bottom piece (because you stacked two piece of fleece on top of one another). Tie the top piece to the bottom piece. Fringe all three sides.
5. The side you did not fringe is the flap to the hobo bag. Tie the strap to one of the fringed knots on the right side and left side of the flap.
