brown felt
green felt
red felt
yellow felt
black felt
white felt
batting or stuffing
scissors
black permanent marker
glue
white poster board

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Trace and cut out the menorah pattern on poster board to use as a guide.
  2. Use brown felt to create the candle holder base. Cut out the mouth slit.
  3. Lining up the candle holder base with the slit, glue it down.
  4. Trace and cut out the liner for the mouth using red felt.
  5. Glue down the red felt where the mouth will go, on the poster board, leaving the top and bottom edges unglued. Glue down the menorah felt on top of that.
  6. Trace and cut out your candles using the patterns supplied: yellow felt – flames, red felt – three candles, green felt – three candles, black felt – one candle, pupils, eyebrows.
  7. Line up each candle at the top of the candle base holder, pushing it in slightly. Three green candles should be on the right, three red candles on the left, and one black candle in the center.
  8. Glue each candle into place. Glue the candle holder together around the candles so no stuffing is showing.
  9. Cut out the yellow flames and glue them in place.
  10. Cut out the eyes, pupils, and eyebrows from the white felt pieces and glue them in place.
  11. Push stuffing into the bottom of the candles to fill out the candles. Then push stuffing into the bottom of the candle holder base, filling out the top of the base and leaving room to put your hand in the bottom of the base.
