SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION...LIKE SCISSORS...SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO CARTOONING!

  1. Draw the number 10, with the numbers spaced out.
  2. Turn the 0 into a face. Start by drawing a hat with a brim coming out the right side. Add lines to the hat to create detail. Draw a large ear coming out of the left side, and draw his face facing to the right.
  3. Draw his arm right underneath the face, coming straight out to the left. He should have a half sleeve. Draw his hand holding the 1. This will become the bat.
  4. Draw his other arm and hand underneath. Since he’s holding a bat, you will only see his fingers. Draw in the wooden bat, with lines for detail.
  5. Draw in his torso in a square shape. Draw his legs in a stance where he is ready to swing his bat. His legs should be bent and his uniform tucked into his socks.
  6. Draw thin ankles with black socks and large, rounded shoes. Add some small squares on the soles of his shoes for traction.
  7. Add lines for his shoelaces. Draw in a ground line underneath his feet.
  8. Draw a horizon line a little bit above the ground line, going behind him. You are now going to draw a whole stadium. Add a curved line behind him starting at his top left. It should end at the ground to his right.
  9. Add 4 flags, evenly spaced, down the curve. Add lines for the stands and dots to show all the people watching.
  10. Draw motion lines around the bat and some drops of perspiration. Write the number 10 on his shirt.
  11. Draw the baseball to his right, coming at him fast. Draw a few lines for motion and a frowning mouth! Draw in some drops of perspiration and a thought balloon that says “GULP!”
  12. Use red to draw pinstripes on his outfit. Color his hat in red, too. Use peach for face and arms, green for the field, brown for the bat, light peach for the stands. Use blue to draw a cloud in the background.
