Get ready to learn a simple magic effect with a couple of paper clips and a dollar bill.

SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION…LIKE SCISSORS SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO MAGIC TRICKS!!

  1. Fold the dollar bill into a Z formation. To do this, fold two thirds of the dollar to the right, and then fold the top third back to the left. If you look at this from the side it’ll look like a Z.
  2. Place the paper clips inside the Z so that one is holding the top of the Z together and the other is holding the bottom of the Z together. There should be about 1 inch of space between the clips and the ends of the Z should be protruding so that you can grab them later.
  3. Hold the ends of the Z and carefully pull them apart… the clips will get closer and closer. Give the dollar bill a firm tug and the two paper clips will link together!
