Learn how to create your own Valentine's Day card with Bruce Blitz. All you'll need are some markers and a piece of paper!

SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION...LIKE SCISSORS...SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO CARTOONING!

1. Using your pencil, draw 2 circles, one with curved guidelines to have the face turned to the left, and one with straight guidelines to have the face looking straight ahead. You want to be able to draw curved guidelines when it’s time to create your Shy Guy, because he will be looking down.
2. Starting with a fresh sheet of paper, draw another circle and draw curved guidelines to make his face looking down and to the right. Draw 2 upside-down 'U’s' for eyes, eyebrows, a long nose, and a smile with cheek.
3. Switch to marker and go over those facial features. Add in his ear using the guideline and then outline only the bottom half of the head. You will be adding his hair in the next step.
4. Draw in curly hair. Erase the pencil lines.
5. Color his face peach, leaving the right side a little bit lighter. Add a little red to his cheeks to show that he’s blushing. Use your finger to blend it in. Use light brown for his hair.
6. Use your marker to draw in drops of perspiration. If making a card, you can also add a nervous sounding caption and write it on the front of a card, with your cartoon on the inside.
