V is for Valentine Cartoon

Get ready to draw a great Valentoon! Join Bruce Blitz as he shows you that the letter V is for Valentine and a girl named Vera.

SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION...LIKE SCISSORS...SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO CARTOONING!

1. With the marker, draw the letter “V.” Connect the top part with a curved line. Switch to pencil and draw a half circle coming out of the right side. This will be the face of a girl.
2. Switch back to marker and draw a profile of her face. Draw in a nose, an open smile with cheek, and her glasses. Make the eye that is closer to you larger than the other to create perspective. Add some hair and draw in her eyes and eyebrows going up. Finish her glasses by drawing the line going into her hair.
3. Erase all pencil lines. Draw in lines for details of her hair inside the V shape. Draw a long, knotted braid coming out of the bottom using small ovals. Add another one right behind it.
4. Draw in her neck and a ruffled collar. Add some color! Use orange for her face.
5. Above her head, write “BE MY VALENTINE” and draw a talk balloon around it. Draw the pointer going towards her mouth. Add a couple hearts around her face in red and some lines coming out of her mouth to show that she’s talking.
6. You can put this cartoon on the front of a greeting card to give to someone on Valentine’s Day!
