Valentine's Day: Heart Cork Board

Need extra storage for Valentine’s day cards and more? This corkboard is perfect for displaying valentines from your family and friends…and even a picture or two.

glue
scissors
fake roses
glitter (red and silver)
plastic plate

double-sided sticker squares

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

1. Take your black marker and draw a large heart on your cork board.
2. Take your scissors and cut out the heart you have drawn.
3. Place glue all over your cork board. Smear it with your finger to cover the whole board all the way to the edges.
4. Sprinkle red glitter all over your heart. Shake the extra glitter off onto a small plate. Sprinkle more glitter onto any spots you may have missed.
5. Next, use more glue to draw swirls all over the heart.
6. Sprinkle silver glitter all over your glue swirls. Be sure to use your plate to catch any excess. After shaking it off, set your heart board aside to dry for a half an hour.
7. Once your heart is dry, glue two fake roses to the top and let them dry for 20 minutes.
8. Pull the tabs off of your double-sided sticky squares and attach them to the top and bottom ends of your heart board on the back. Now you can attach it to the wall.
9. Use push pins to attach your valentines to the heart!
