Flipover Card

Professional magician, Ryan Oakes and his assistant Damian are going to show you how to perform an awesome card trick. So get a deck of cards and get ready to learn The Flipover Card!

SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION…LIKE SCISSORS SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO MAGIC TRICKS!!

1. Preparation: Take the top card of the deck, turn it face up, and place it at the bottom of the deck.
2. Performance: Spread the deck of cards in your hands and have a spectator select one. Be sure not to spread the cards too far so that they see that the bottom card is face up!
3. Have the spectator remember the card. As they do this, secretly turn the deck upside down so that the bottom card is now the top card. It will look like the deck is still all face down if you hold the cards together.
4. Have the spectator carefully slide their selection back into the deck (be sure the cards don’t spread!).
5. Place the cards behind your back and replace the top card back onto the bottom facing up. Bring the cards back out front, holding them face up.
6. Now, hold the deck in your hand and wave your other hand over it. Spread the cards to reveal that one card is now face down. Have them name their card and then turn the face down card over… it’s their card!
