Shamrock Boppers

Show your St. Patrick’s Day spirit this year by donning these delightful decorations! These cool Shamrock Boppers will bring you the luck o’ the Irish throughout St. Paddy’s Day!

4 green pipe cleaners
glue
scissors
green glitter
plastic plate
marker
head band

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

1. Turn over your green sticky felt so it’s white side up and cut it in half.
2. Draw a shamrock on each half. A good way to draw the clover is to think of it as being 3 hearts with a tree trunk base. Cut your shamrocks out.
3. Take a second piece of sticky felt and place it white side up. Place your shamrocks on the felt green-side up, and trace them with your marker. Cut them out.
4. Take 2 pipe cleaners and twist them together.
5. Remove the backing from your shamrocks.
6. Take a pipe cleaner and place it right in the middle of one of your shamrocks.
7. Make a sandwich with one of the other shamrocks. Do the same with the other two. Trim around the edges if they don’t match up perfectly.
8. Take your glue and outline your shamrocks.
9. Using a paper plate to catch the excess, sprinkle them with glitter and set aside to dry for about 30 minutes.
10. Attach them to your headband by twisting your pipe cleaners around it. Twist them around several times to make sure they are securely in place.
