Learn how to draw a doodle trick with a simple number!

paper
marker

SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION...LIKE SCISSORS...SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO CARTOONING!

  1. Write the number 5 in marker.
  2. Use the bottom part for a chin. Draw a line coming up from the top right end of the 5 to create a pointy nose.
  3. Draw a curved line for a smile coming out of the left of the vertical line in the 5. Add a line to close out the cheek.
  4. At the top of the nose draw a large circle for an eye and a pupil inside, towards the left. Darken most of the pupil in, leaving a little bit of white space to show depth. Add a line for an eyebrow going up.
  5. Draw the bottom part of the head by extending the bottom of the five, and add a large 'U'-shaped ear to create her profile. Add some detail to the ear by drawing an irregular 'V' shape inside the ear.
  6. Add some small circles underneath the ear for earrings. Draw a ball of hair on top of the ear to show pulled back hair, with a few lines for detail.
  7. Add another oval on top for the bun and a few curls in front and behind her ear. Add her neck and a ruffled collar and you’re done!
  8. Draw the number 5 again on a fresh sheet of paper.
  9. On top of the 5, draw a circle shape connected to it. Add 2 ears on each side to create a face. Draw a few lines for detail inside each ear.
  10. Add some squiggly lines above the ears for hair and a few hairs on top. Draw a circle for a nose, and a curved line for a frown. Make 2 dots for eyes with 2 straight eyelids on top. Eyebrows should be going up so he doesn’t look too happy. Add a 'U' shape under the head to make a shirt collar.
  11. Close the line up on the side of the number 5. Add some shorts underneath the five and draw 2 legs coming out under them with bended knees.
  12. Give him 2 large feet, flat on the floor. Add traction to the bottom of the shoes and shoelaces. Also, draw a horizontal line for the floor. He will unhappily be doing side bends!
  13. Add a hand coming out of the part of the 5 that is his arm.
  14. Add another arm coming out the other side, elbow bent and draw a hand touching his waist.
  15. On his shirt, draw “Joe’s Pizza Shop.”
