Earth Day is celebrated each year on April 22nd…and a great way to show mother Earth how much you care is by planting something!

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Start by covering the top of your egg carton with glue. Squeeze the glue right onto the carton and spread with a brush.
  2. Sprinkle on your glitter.
  3. Next, you’ll want to decorate your carton with pictures of what you will be growing inside: basil, tomatoes and peppers. Use scissors to cut them out of a magazine. If you don’t have pictures, you can draw them yourself.
  4. Glue the pictures to the inside of your lid.
  5. Using a spoon, fill all your egg holders up with dirt.
  6. Glue some plastic bugs on top of the egg holders’ dividers.
  7. You want to divide your garden into 3 sections since there are 3 types of plants. Delegate 4 egg holders for each type of plant you are growing. Put 3 or 4 seeds in each egg holder.
  8. Cover up your seeds with dirt.
  9. Water your plants.
  10. Trim off the flap of your egg cartoon, and tape up the back so that the lid is folded up straight. Place your egg carton garden on your windowsill and remember to water your plants daily.
