One way to really help save the environment is by reusing things! So do your part and decorate a Reusable Lunch Bag! You’ll never use a boring old paper bag again!

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Start by making a veggie burger out of some colored felt. You’ll want to use light brown felt to make the 2 parts of a bun. Draw an oval onto your felt with black marker and divide it in half with a slightly curved line. Cut the shapes out.
  2. Add dots of glue and sprinkle on glitter to create sesame seeds on your bun.
  3. While your bun dries, cut an oval out of dark brown felt for your veggie patty.
  4. Cut a thin, wavy shape out of green felt for lettuce.
  5. Assemble your veggie burger and glue all the pieces together. Set it aside to dry for 20 minutes.
  6. In the meantime, you will be using iron on felt letters to create a message: LUNCH TIME. Cut the letters out. You can create any message you want, even your name. You can paint your message onto your bag if you don’t have letters.
  7. Take your lunch bag and place your iron letters on backwards, since you will be ironing them. Make sure you have an adult around to help you use the iron. Start with the word LUNCH. Follow the instructions on your iron on package, but they should typically take 15 seconds each under the cotton setting of your iron. Peel the backing off when you’re done.
  8. Glue on your veggie burger underneath your letters.
  9. Place the word TIME onto your bag, following the same instructions in step 7.
