REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.
- Take one of your visors and remove the cord.
- Cut off the outermost inch or so of that visor around the lip, cutting wider in the middle of it and thinner on the sides. This will be the top of your hat.
- Take the second visor and pull the cord through the hole a little more on each side.
- Attach the first visor to the second visor by threading the cord of the second through the holes on either side of the first. The outer lip of the top visor should be facing up and away from the bottom.
- Using a wooden skewer, poke three holes through the top and bottom parts of the hat. Make sure the holes are lined up on each part.
- Thread the twist ties through the holes and twist them together to fasten and secure the top and bottom of the hat.
- Time to decorate it. Stick your gold stars to the bottom part of your hat, and use your gold letter to spell “Pilot” across the top part. Add more starts underneath the word.
- Glue some gold rope along the outer seam of the hat holding the two pieces together to hide the twist tie. Cut off any excess. Let everything dry for 1 to 2 hours and you’re ready for take-off!
