REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.
- Place your vanilla sandwich cookies into a plastic bag and smash them up into little pieces. The best way to do this is with the bottom of one of your mixing bowls. This will make the crunchy texture for your “kitty litter”.
- Break up 1 ½ each of your chocolate and vanilla pan cakes into one of your large mixing bowls. Be sure to wash your hands really well before you do this.
- Add some of your vanilla pudding to the cake mixture and mix it in to make it stick together. The combined mixture should have enough consistency to be packed together like snowballs. Set that aside and wash your hands!
- Take about a quarter of your crushed cookie crumbs and place them into one of your smaller mixing bowls. Add and mix in some green food coloring. This will recreate the color of the chlorophyll that’s often in kitty litter. Keep stirring everything together until it all turns green.
- Add the rest of your cookie crumbs to your cake and pudding mixture. Mix it all together with a spoon.
- In a kitty litter pan lined with kitty litter pan liner, pour in your cake mixture. Spread it out around the corners and across the middle of the pan. Press it all down to give it a nice consistency.
- Sprinkle your green cookie crumbs over the cake in the pan.
- Mold your chocolate candies to make them look less candy-like and arrange them however you’d like across the cake and pan.
- Add a sheet of newspaper underneath the pan with some excess cookie crumbs on it to complete the look of a real litter pan. Stick your scoop into the pan and your ready to serve this gross cake!
