Check out all the fun going on around with this periscope craft.

Mailer tube
Colored markers
2 Mirrors
Air dry clay
X-acto knife
Tape

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Pull off the end caps and cut two 1” by 1” square holes into your mailing tube. The holes should be on opposite sides as well as opposite ends adjacent to where the caps go. This will be the body of your periscope.
  2. Time to put the mirrors in place. Take the two end caps you have and place a small piece of air dry clay on the inside of each. Ball the clay up and create a 45 degree angle wedge of clay on each cap. Place mirror on the angled end of each wedge and secure it to the cap with tape on the ends.
  3. Decorate the body of your periscope with colored markers.
  4. Place the caps back in each end with the mirrors facing out of the cut holes and you’re ready to set sail!
