Gold & silver paint pens
Exacto knife
Templates

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Print and cut out your templates. You should have one template for the face, two for the ears, and one for the tongue.
  2. Trace the face and ear templates onto your brown card stock. You can use a different color if you don’t want your puppy to be brown.
  3. Trace the tongue template onto your red card stock.
  4. Cut all of the traced pieces out with scissors.
  5. Draw a nose onto your puppy’s face at the bottom (the end with rounded edges). Using your marker, draw and color in a circle with a smaller circle attached to either side. Then round off the top of the combined shape.
  6. With an adult helper, use an Exacto knife to make small holes in the top right and left corners of the puppy’s head, followed by a hole in the center of its nose. Make similar guide holes into the tops of the ears.
  7. Time to assemble the puppy’s face. Take a paper fastener and stick it through each ear hole. Then stick the fasteners through the holes in the top of the puppy’s head.
  8. Separate the two ends of each fastener on the opposite side and press them down against the back of the head to attach the ears. Now the ears will stay on the puppy’s head as well as wag around.
  9. Stick another fastener through the hole you made in the puppy’s nose. Don’t secure it to the back yet.
  10. Line up where you want the tongue to hang out from behind the head and then poke the fastener through the top of the tongue. Separate and press down the ends of the fastener to attach the tongue to the head.
  11. Stick two google eyes next to each other in the center of the puppy’s head just beneath the ears.
  12. Write your party’s name onto the ears with a silver paint pen. Then write the address and time onto the tongue with a gold paint pen. Slide the tongue up behind the head and ears in over the face and your invitation is ready to send!
