Join host Lisa Bleyaert as she teaches you how to make a scoreboard party invitation for your Sports Party! Your friends will be cheering for one of these handmade invites!

Green and white cardstock
Sports stickers
Gold and silver paint pens
Craft knife
Glue stick
Pencil or pen
Scissors
Invitation templates

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

  1. Print and cut out your invitation templates. You should have two: your outer scoreboard template (with smaller rectangular holes within it) and your inner template.
  2. Take your outer scoreboard template and trace it onto your green cardstock.
  3. Take your inner template and trace it onto your white cardstock.
  4. Cut out your traced shapes with scissors.
  5. For the holes in your outer scoreboard, have an adult helper cut them out using a craft knife.
  6. Fold your outer scoreboard in half, matching up the corners as you do it. Run over the corners with the side of your pencil to crease the fold.
  7. Open your scoreboard back up and glue your white cardstock shape to the inside using the glue stick. Glue it to the side without the holes.
  8. Time to decorate your scoreboard invitation. Close it up and trace rectangles through the holes in the front of the invitation onto the white inside with your gold paint pen. If you don’t have paint pens, you can always use regular markers.
  9. Write the date of the party on the white inside the top box you traced.
  10. Write your party times in the next two boxes: the start time in the left box and the end time in the right box.
  11. Write the beginning of your address in the bottom left box and the beginning of your phone number in the bottom right box.
  12. Write “Home” on the front of your invitation above where your start time is showing, and “Away” above where your end time is showing.
  13. Write “Fun” above each of your bottom boxes on the front of the invitation and “Score” underneath each of them.
  14. In the middle of the front of your invitation, write your party’s name. Add any other decorations you want to the front.
  15. Open the invitation up. Write “From” next to your start time, “To” next to your end time, “Where” next to the beginning of your address, and RSVP next to the beginning of your phone number.
  16. Finish writing your address and phone number out on the inside of the card from where you started inside the boxes.
  17. Finish decorating the inside (and outside if you want) of your invitation with sports stickers.
  18. Repeat these steps to make as many invitations as you need for you party!
