Celebrate Spring this year by getting outside and playing a vintage game that you made yourself!
Foamcore
Black marker
Utility knife
2 wooden dowels
Yellow paint
Plastic plate
Paint brush
REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.
- Take your wooden dowels and paint them yellow, or any other color you want. Once finished, you’ll stake these into the ground and pitch the horseshoes to them.
- While your dowels are drying, draw the shape of a horseshoe onto the back side of your foamcore. If you don’t have foamcore, you can use cardboard.
- Cut through the foamcore along the outline of your horseshoe using a utility knife.
- Once you’ve cut through the foam all the way around, pop the horseshoe out with your fingers.
- Take your cut-out horseshoe and trace one or more identical shapes onto the back of the remaining foamcore.
- Cut and pop out your remaining horseshoes, stake your dried dowels into the ground and you’re ready to play!
