Grass Head

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE THINGS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE CRAFT PROJECTS ALONE.

1. Take some decorative contact paper and wrap it around an empty canister. If you don’t have contact paper, you can just paint the canister.
2. Time to make the face. Take two large googly eyes and glue them right onto the canister over the contact paper.
3. Take a green pipe cleaner and cut off a 2” piece for the nose, a 3” piece for the mouth, and cut the remainder in half for the ears.
4. Bend the nose piece in half to make a v-shape. Glue it onto the canister beneath the eyes with the v pointing downward.
5. Curve the mouth into u-shape or smile. Glue it on beneath the nose and set everything aside to dry for 20 minutes.
6. Take your two ear pieces of pipe cleaner and bend them into circles. Twist the ends to secure them and round them out.
7. Take a utility knife and poke holes on each side of the canister’s face to insert the ears through. This is a good job for your adult helper. Make sure the holes line up.
8. Insert the ends of the ears through the holes.
9. Fill the grass head with dirt all the way to the top.
10. Sprinkle grass seeds all over the top of your dirt.
11. Add a final layer of dirt over the seed. Water regularly and watch Greg the Grass Head’s hair grow!
