SOMETIMES WE USE MATERIALS THAT REQUIRE ADULT SUPERVISION…LIKE SCISSORS SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY AROUND WHENEVER YOU DO MAGIC TRICKS!

  1. Place a quarter in your left hand under your thumb, clipping it in your palm. This is called a 'thumb clip.' Turn your hand palm-side-down to make it appear empty while you hold the quarter in place.
  2. Hold the penny in your right hand on the edges with your first two fingers and your thumb. Rotate your hand to show the penny to your audience from all sides.
  3. Time for the special move! Hold the penny with your fingers pointing upward. Bring your left hand (with the hidden quarter) in front of your right hand to conceal the penny.
  4. Once the penny is hidden from your audience’s view, lift your right thumb and let it drop into your palm.
  5. Use your right thumb to clip the quarter between it and your right finger tips. Then release your left thumb.
  6. Move your left hand back to unveil the quarter that your penny has magically become!
