John Kennedy and his pal Tabitha have a blast while they make the coolest puppet in A-TV town. Watch as he helps Tabitha create her very own popcorn bucket superhero. You can become a superhero too, just follow along with the directions!

glue
scissors
markers
ruler
pencil
1 white paper popcorn bucket
magazines for clipping from
construction paper

REMEMBER THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS WORK UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. SOMETIMES WE USE OBJECTS THAT COULD BE HARMFUL, LIKE SCISSORS, SO DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE THESE PUPPETS ALONE.

  1. Take your popcorn bucket and with a ruler, find the half way point across the bucket lip and mark the lip with a pencil.
  2. Draw a line down to the bottom of the bucket on both side.
  3. Draw a rough outline of your super hero’s face, from his upper lip up, on half of the bucket.
  4. Draw a rough outline of your super hero’s lower lip and chin on the other half of the bucket.
  5. Clip out hair, eyes, a nose, ears, and eye brows from some magazines.
  6. Once you have all of your face pieces cut out of a magazine or personal photo, it’s time to Glue the pieces to your rough drawing.
  7. Now we are going to make a small body and cape for your hero with construction paper. You will want to save this and glue it on later. Choose whatever color that you like.
  8. After all of your face pieces are glued on, cut out around the outline of your hero’s head and chin, then fold the mouth in half, and glue the little body to the bottom of the chin.
  9. Now, just make up a super hero voice and you are ready to save the day!
