With her husband, Verne, Barbara is also active in humane education and animal welfare, and they have presented and written several articles advocating humane alternatives to coexisting peacefully with all wildlife and farm animals. They rescue cats and share their Nationally Certified Wildlife Backyard Habitat with a variety of birds, deer, and squirrels. They hope to create a more compassionate and humane world.
