Carrie Shankweiler is a former elementary school teacher and has been cooking with children for over ten years. She began in her multi-age primary classroom with a weekly cooking lesson during which children shared precious family recipes with their classmates. Through cooking, they explored family history, geography, foreign language, math, science and nutritional awareness. Since then, half-pint chefs have been Cooking With Carrie in her own kitchen every week, creating beautiful and delicious food masterpieces! Carrie is the co-owner of Vanilla Beans, Tasting Possibilities, specializing in providing cooking experiences to children and adults in Swarthmore, PA.
